gaylin m. bowie

A graduate from the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art in New York City with a B. Arch. in Architecture, Gaylin has been in the design field for over 18 years.  

she considers herself a true New Yorker Though with her diverse background, born in London to Caribbean parents; father from Trinidad and Tobago, mother from Guyana, Gaylin acknowledges that much of her inspiration comes from her island culture.  It is deeply rooted in spiritual awareness and vibrancy for life.

Gaylin started making jewelry from 7 years old and always loved drawing. She says that jewelry led her to architecture; now architecture is leading her back to jewelry - coming full circle.

Currently Gaylin works for a world renown architect in New York City.  She continues to paint, write poetry and create jewelry pieces.
